How to pay?
At a POS terminal:
- Unlock your mobile device (using a PIN code or biometric authentication) and hold it near the terminal.
- Unlock your smartwatch with a PIN code, open the Google Wallet application, and then hold the watch near the terminal.
When shopping online store or in an application, select the Google Pay payment option (or tap the Google Pay button) and authorize the purchase (using a PIN code, password, fingerprint, or facial recognition).
If you have multiple bank cards digitalized, after unlocking the device and before approving the purchase, select the Raiffeisen bank card you want to use for payment.
A Google Pay payment is considered the same as a transaction made with a physical plastic card.
Suspension or deletion of the digitalized bank card can be initiated at any time through our Raiffeisen Direkt Call Center at +36-80-488-588.

Raiffeisen Bank-issued retail, Premium, Private Banking, and corporate debit and credit cards can be added to Google Wallet. Visa cards are also supported for Google Pay payments. Yes, using Google Pay is completely free. For card transactions made with Google Pay, you only pay the fees associated with the Raiffeisen account package and with the specific card you use. No additional charges apply
Yes, it’s secure. After you digitize your bank card, the physical card details are not stored on your device; instead, virtual card numbers linked to your physical card are generated. These virtual numbers are used to authorize the transaction once you approve it using one of the following methods:
- Biometric authentication (fingerprint or facial recognition)
- Screen-lock unlock code
- Unlock code on smartwatches
Merchants never see your actual card number or other card details. For ATM cash withdrawals, you must also enter the PIN associated with your physical card.
The security of Google Pay transactions is ensured by requiring one of these authentication methods for every purchase. Your data remains safe because your actual card number is never shared with Google.
