We are replacing our Mastercard bank cards with new Visa debit cards:
We are replacing the following bank cards with Visa Classic debit cards:
We are replacing the following bank cards with Visa Platinum debit cards:
We are replacing Private Mastercard World Elite debit cards with Visa Infinite debit cards.
We are replacing the following Mastercard credit cards with new Visa credit cards:
We will replace Oxygen Standard, Oxygen Gold, Premium Gold, and Private Platinum credit cards with Visa Classic or Visa Platinum credit cards, at the customer’s discretion, following a bilateral contract amendment.
Please note that among our new credit cards, the Visa Classic credit card is the closest match to the Oxygen Standard credit card, while the Visa Platinum credit card is the closest match to the Oxygen Gold, Premium Gold, and Private Mastercard Platinum credit cards; however, you may also choose the less prestigious Visa Classic credit card if you prefer.
We typically replace the Versatile CLEVER Cards and Premium Versatile CLEVER Cards with a Visa Classic debit card and a Visa Classic credit card via a bilateral contract amendment, but during the contract amendment process, you have the option to choose different types of Visa debit or credit cards.
Starting May 4, 2026, we will replace OneCard credit cards with Visa Classic or Visa Platinum credit cards, in accordance with the types described above.
The PIN code, settings, and terms and conditions of the Visa credit card issued as a replacement are identical to those of the OneCard credit card.
You must activate online purchases in the myRaiffeisen mobile app under the “My Products/My Cards” menu using the “Online Purchases” button.
Our retail customers will receive the new Visa credit card by mail at their postal address, and it will also be available in digital form in the myRaiffeisen mobile app.
Our Private Banking customers will receive their Visacredit card at the mailing address on file with the Bank (or, if none is available, at their permanent address), or we will send it to a bank branch—in accordance with their previous instructions.
The Visa credit card displayed in digital form in the myRaiffeisen mobile app can be activated immediately and used via Apple Pay or Google Pay.
To use the credit card to its full extent, you must also activate the physical credit card sent by mail, as described in the accompanying letter.
If you have previously provided your card details to an online merchant or service provider (for example, to pay subscription fees regularly by card), please remember to update your card details after activating your Visa credit card.
We will keep you informed about the current steps in the credit card replacement process via email, as well as through push or SMS notifications.
If you have not received your Visa credit card to replace your existing Onecard credit card by the end of May, please notify our call center immediately.
If you hold an Oxygen Standard, Gold, or Premium Gold credit card, the terms and conditions of your credit card will change. This change requires an amendment to your contract, which can be processed at any Raiffeisen branch after May 4, 2026.
Details of the features and terms of the Visa Classic and Visa Platinum credit cards can be found in the Retail Credit Card Terms and Conditions after May 4, 2026, but we have highlighted the most important points here as well:
In addition, the terms and conditions of the Visa credit card will differ from those of the current Oxygen credit card; the most important changes are:
The Visa credit card issued after the re-contracting at the bank branch will be issued with a new PIN code and standard usage limits and features. You can view the PIN code in the myRaiffeisen mobile app, where you can also set custom limits.
During the re-contracting process, you will have the opportunity to request additional services on the application form and contract amendment form, such as optional travel insurance, the Mobile Banking SMS service, setting up automatic repayment options, or linking your Visa credit card to the Raiffeisen Direkt and Direktnet services.
During the re-contracting process, the new Visa credit card will be issued immediately in digital form in the myRaiffeisen mobile app following processing, where it can be activated right away and used via the Apple Pay or Google Pay apps.
In order to use the credit card to its full extent, the physical card—which will be mailed in a few days—must also be fully activated as described in the accompanying letter.
If you have previously provided your card details to an online merchant or service provider (for example, to pay subscription fees regularly by card), please remember to update your card details after activating your Visa credit card.
The most important change during the card replacement process is that, instead of the single card you’ve been used to, you will have two separate cards after the replacement: a Visa debit card (Classic or Platinum) and a Visa credit card (Classic or Platinum). With the debit card, you will have access to your bank account; you can withdraw cash from it, but you can also use it to make purchases. With your Visa credit card, you can spend from your credit card account, use it to make purchases, or withdraw cash. Of course, you also have the option to apply for just a debit card or just a credit card instead of the Versatile Clever Card.
When amending your contract, you have the option to choose a different type of Visa debit or credit card.
Simultaneously with the card replacement, the card’s features and terms will change; therefore, it is necessary to amend the credit card contract, which you can do at any Raiffeisen bank branch after May 4, 2026.
The features and terms of the Visa Classic debit card are already available on our website. The features and terms and conditions of the Visa Classic and Visa Platinum credit cards will be available in the Retail Credit Card Terms and Conditions effective May 4, 2026. Here are the highlights of the most important benefits:

For detailed information consult the Retail Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
Instead of a Versatile credit card, a debit card can be issued according to your needs.

If you have previously provided your card details to an online merchant or service provider (for example, to pay subscription fees regularly by card), please remember to update your card details after activating your Visa credit card.
If you hold both an Oxygen credit card and a Versatile CLEVER Card, you can apply for a VISA credit card only in replacement of one of the two cards.
If you hold a Private Mastercard Platinum credit card, the terms and conditions of your credit card will change, so it is necessary to amend your credit card agreement. To this end, please contact your personal banking advisor after May 4, 2026.
You can find detailed information about the features and terms and conditions of the Visa Classic and Visa Platinum credit cards on our website and in the Private Banking List of Terms and Conditions after May 4, 2026.
After re-contracting at a bank branch, you can view the PIN code for your Visa credit card in the myRaiffeisen mobile app, where you can also set your individual spending limits.
During the re-contracting process, you will have the opportunity to request additional services, such as optional travel insurance, the Mobile Banking SMS service, setting up automatic repayment options, or linking your Visa credit card to the Raiffeisen Direkt and Direktnet services.

If you have previously provided your card details to an online merchant or service provider (for example, to pay subscription fees regularly by card), please remember to update your card details after activating your Visa credit card.
If you have both a principal and an additional card, both the principal and additional cards will be replaced at the same time. If a contract amendment is required for the card replacement (in the case of an Oxygen credit card or a Versatile CLEVER Card), the principal cardholder and the additional cardholder must visit a Raiffeisen bank branch together to sign the contract amendments. The principal and additional card types for the new Visa credit card must match; that is, the additional card type will be the same as the principal card type.
Upon activation of the new Visa credit card (either principal or additional), the Bank will automatically cancel the previous Mastercard credit cards—including the principal and additional cards, as well as the Versatile CLEVER Card. In addition to activating the additional card, the principal card must also be activated in all cases. If the new Visa principal card is not activated, the Bank will terminate the amended contract, and upon termination of the contract, both the principal card and the additional card will be cancelled, of which the Bank will send a separate notification. To avoid this, we will send a prior notification in a timely manner, which will include the necessary steps to take.
We are constantly improving our services so that our customers can manage their finances quickly and conveniently. The next step is to make our bank card portfolio—specifically, the bank cards available to customers—more transparent; in this regard, Visa has been our partner since 2025.
Our primary goal is to make our bank card offerings more transparent and for Raiffeisen Bank to further develop digital payment options in partnership with Visa as a strategic partner. As a result, we plan to offer our customers numerous benefits in the future. Regarding the current card replacement, the card itself can be used just like your current card; its functions remain exactly the same. The terms and fees associated with the card remain unchanged, except for the Versatile CLEVER Cards, Oxygen credit cards, and Private Platinum credit cards; furthermore, the card comes with numerous benefits.
There is no disadvantage to the card replacement. Visa is a global leader in digital payments, with transactions accepted at more than 150 million merchant locations in over 200 countries and territories. There is no difference in card acceptance in Hungary, but Visa and Mastercard bank cards can generally be used uniformly across European countries and worldwide. The card itself can be used just like your current card; its functions are identical in every respect. The terms and fees associated with the card remain unchanged, except for the Versatile CLEVER Cards, Oxygen credit cards, and Private Platinum credit cards; furthermore, furthermore the card comes with numerous benefits.
After replacing your Versatile CLEVER Card, you will have two separate cards instead of the single card you are used to: Visa debit card and Visa credit card.
After the replacement with a VISA credit card, you will have only one type of credit card. However, your credit limit will remain the same, so you will have access to your full credit limit with either the VISA Classic or VISA Platinum credit card you choose.
The renewal of debit cards began on August 1, 2025.
The renewal of credit cards will begin on May 4, 2026.
There is no charge for replacing your card.
The replacement will take place automatically; no additional action is required, except in the case of Oxygen credit cards and Versatile CLEVER Cards, for which you can request a replacement at a bank branch. If you have a Private Platinum credit card, please contact your personal banking advisor to arrange for the re-contracting.
The replacement of your bank card is free of charge, and the functionality of the new card remains unchanged. If you have any further questions, our colleagues are available at any of the contact details provided.
We will mail your new bank card to the mailing address on file with us, unless you are a Private Banking customer, in which case we will send your new bank card to the mailing address on file with the Bank or to a branch, in accordance with your previous settings.
To pick up your bank card, you will need a government-issued ID and a proof of address, or a driver’s license and a proof of address, or a passport and a proof of address.
You must also activate the new physical bank card, as described in the letter accompanying the card. Activation is possible by entering your PIN and completing a successful financial transaction by inserting your card into an ATM or card terminal.
Once you activate your new bank card, your current bank card will be automatically deactivated and can no longer be used.
The PIN and spending limits for your new bank card will be the same as those for your current card. If you initiate the replacement of your Visa card at a bank branch or through a personal banking advisor, you will receive a new PIN for your Visa credit card, and the spending limits will be set according to the details provided in your application. You must enable online purchases in the myRaiffeisen mobile app by selecting the “My Products/My Cards/Online Purchases” option.
You can change your notification address on the myRaiffeisen portal, through our call centre, or at a bank branch.
Once activated, the digital bank card can be used for contactless purchases, contactless cash withdrawals, and online shopping, or you can wait for your physical bank card to arrive after activation. Once you activate your new digital bank card, your previous Mastercard will be deactivated, and you will only be able to use the new digital Visa bank card until you receive your physical bank card.
After activation, the following features will be available:
For security reasons, only physical cards, not digital bank cards, can be used for cash deposits.
You must activate your bank card and the online shopping feature—if you wish to use this feature—and check your card settings.
You must activate your new bank card by the date indicated in the bank card notification letter at the latest!
You can activate your new bank card at an ATM by completing a successful financial transaction or by making a purchase with the card at a POS terminal by inserting the card and entering your PIN.
Your current bank card (both the physical and digital versions) can be used until your new Visa card is activated, but no later than the date specified in the accompanying letter.
If the new bank card is not activated by the specified date, it will expire on the date indicated in the letter. In the case of a credit card, the contract will be terminated.
Yes, even after activating the digital version, you must activate the physical bank card by completing a successful financial transaction at an ATM or by entering your PIN when making a purchase with the card (at a POS terminal).
Internet purchases will be disabled on your new Visa card for security reasons. You can activate the online shopping feature in the myRaiffeisen mobile app by tapping the “My Products/My Cards/Online Shopping” button, or via online banking.
Once the bank card is cancelled, you will no longer be able to use either the physical or digital bank card, and all related services, including the associated travel insurance, will be terminated. If at a later date you do need a bank card, you will have to apply for a new one. In the case of a credit card, the contract will be terminated.
Please call our call center at +36-80-488-588 and select option 7. If you are a Private Banking customer, our colleagues are at your disposal at +36-80-455-455.
To do this, you need to add your credit card to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet, which allows you to complete payment transactions quickly and securely without having to take out your credit card.
